ABOUT MANUSCRIPT :In Bayan Usul Ilm Tibb, the principles of diseases are elaborated upon, categorizing diseases according to their causes into five distinct types: 1. Epidemic (waba?i): This type refers to diseases that affect many people simultaneously, such as smallpox and cholera. 2. Nawa?i: This term describes diseases that are prevalent among the population of a particular region or country, such as elephantiasis in specific areas. 3. La waba?i: This category includes diseases that affect an individual without spreading to others, such as fever. 4. Kalb-Tayir: These are contagious diseases that can spread from one person to another, such as scabies and syphilis. 5. Hereditary: These diseases are genetic and can be passed from one generation to another, such as leprosy. In this manuscript, various diseases are mentioned along with their treatments, providing a comprehensive guide for medical practitioners. The classification highlights the understanding of disease transmission and epidemiology during the time of its writing.
