| ABOUT MANUSCRIPT : | Ilajul Atfal Pediatrics was written in 1836 by Fazl Ali Shifai Khan under the patronage of Maharaja Chandu Lal. Copies of this book are preserved in many libraries. The book discusses children's diseases, their signs and symptoms, and their treatment. It consists of 70 chapters, starting from Tadbeer Hamila wa Nufasa Management of pregnancy and Puerperium. Upon the request of his friends, he has written this book. It includes Hakim Mir Muhammad Ali Khan. The pages of the book indicate that Hakim Ahmadullah Khan Khan, the author of Shafa'al-Majdur,was his teacher. In addition to their teacher Hakim Ahmad Allah, Hakim Alvi Khan, Hakim Akbar Arzani, Bahau Daula and Ibn Sina are also his special sources. They have also mentioned their personal experiences and therapeutic events which also shows its precision and treatment. The book was authored in Hyderabad on 6th Rabi-ul-Awwal 1257 AH. Based on references in Shafa'a al-Majroor, it is evident that one of Hakim Ahmad Allah's sons was named Muhammad Shukrullah. Besides Muhammad Shukrullah, he had several other sons. Ahmad Allah Khan's work Tahqiq al-Nabz is housed in the State Library, Salar Jung, and Saeediya Libraries in Hyderabad. | ||
