ABOUT MANUSCRIPT :Qarābādīn Qādirī is a comprehensive pharmacopeia focused on compound remedies, authored by Arzānī as a tribute to his mentor and spiritual guide, Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani (d. 1165 AD), the founder of the Sufi order to which Arzānī belonged. The manuscript begins with an alphabetical list of compound drugs and is organized into one preface, 23 chapters, and a conclusion. It provides detailed descriptions of the preparation methods, properties, and uses of various remedies. This work offers valuable insights into traditional Unani medicine and its applications. Compound Drugs/ Formulations:The manuscript also focuses on compound drugs and formulations, which are essential in Unani medicine for treating more complex diseases or conditions requiring a synergistic effect. The formulations include:Tablets: Solid dosage forms containing a combination of drugs for easier administration.Syrups: Liquid formulations designed for internal use, often used for treating respiratory and digestive disord. Powders: Fine particles of drugs used either directly or in preparation of other forms.Semisolid dosage forms: Such as pastes or ointments, used for external application to treat skin conditions or localized diseases. Each formulation is explained in terms of its preparation, ingredients, and therapeutic application, ensuring that the practitioner can prepare and administer these remedies with accuracy
