ABOUT MANUSCRIPT :Madan al-Shifa Sikandar Shahi book was written during the reign of Sikander Lodhi and is based on Ayurvedic texts such as the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita. It had a significant impact on Unani Medicine. The book has been printed many times, and one manuscript is preserved in the Nawab Faiz Muhammad Khan Library in Bhopal. This manuscript bears a large stamp with the year 1261. An introductory article about the book was published in the Journal of Al-Hikmat, Delhi, in 1965, written by Iqtidar Siddiqui. 'Madan al-Shifa Sikandar Shahi,' also known as Tibb Sikandari, holds the distinction of being the first Ayurvedic book written in the Persian language in India.Contents:The book comprises a preface and three chapters. The preface discusses various medical theories. The first section is divided into 32 parts, providing comprehensive discussions on the principles of diagnosis and treatment. It includes valuable information on instrument sterilization, preparation of medicines, and thr functions. The second section focuses on anatomical descriptions, featuring nine parts that detail anatomical information about male semen, menstruation, fetal development stages, organ details, vessel numbers, and pregnancy-related information.The third section offers complete descriptions of diseases, including signs and symptoms. This section encompasses 89 parts, offering detailed accounts of diseases affecting various systems, as well as fever and other ailments. Overall, the book serves as a comprehensive resource for Ayurvedic studies, drawing from over a dozen acknowledged Ayurvedic texts such as Charaka, Sushruta, Vāgbhaṭa, Chintamani, and Madhava Nidana
