ABOUT MANUSCRIPT :The book Tilism Hikmat is structured into one preface, 15 sections termed 'benefits', and numerous chapters. Each 'benefit' focuses on a distinct aspect of medical knowledge. The first benefit discusses the actions and responsibilities of physicians. The second benefit provides explanations of key medical terminology. The third benefit covers measurements and weights. The fourth benefit delves into the description and classification of massages and physical therapies. The fifth benefit focuses on foods and drugs, with particular attention to Muqawwiyat (strengthening remedies). The sixth benefit discusses the temperament (Mizaj) of foods and drugs, offering insights into their suitability for different individuals. The seventh benefit covers the procurement and preservation of drugs, ensuring their efficacy remains intact. Subsequent chapters explore the foundational principles of medicine, such as the constituents of the human body, the theory of humors, and the six essential factors for health (Asbab Sitta Zaruriya). These chapters also include discussions on the causes, symptoms, and stages of diseases, as well as diagnostic techniques, including the examination of pulse, urine, and stool. Tilism Hikmat serves as a comprehensive guide, integrating both practical knowledge and the theoretical foundations of Unani medicine, making it an essential text for practitioners and students alike
