| ABOUT THE BOOK : | Basava Raajeeyam is one of the famous Ayurvedic books of Andhra Pradesh. The author says that he has compiled many of the yoga mentioned in this text from the ancient classics available by the time of the author. Some formulations are author own contribution which are mentioned Telugu poetic style. Remaining literature is mentioned as Sanskrit mula in Telugu script along with Telugu translation by Virasvamy and JayaKrishnadas. Total text is divided into 25 Prakarana (chapters). First chapter deals with Nadipariksha and fever. Up to 24th chapter detailed descriptions of various diseases, their etiology, types, symptoms, prognosis, line of treatment, treatment with many herbal and herbomineral preparation etc. are described.
